September Toning & Balance

You'll want to grab a chair for this video. You can hold onto the chair if you want, or just have it nearby as a "security blanket". The movements in this video are slow and look easy, but are really a great workout. Anytime you are balancing, you are working you core. I often sweat more in this song than in some cardio intense songs. If you have trouble balancing, hold the chair and focus your eyes on a point in the near distance. If you're still flailing around, make your movements smaller - don't lift your foot, arms and legs as high. Small movements still engage the muscles and are effective - they are more effective than lifting your leg high and flailing around.

I am a Zumba certified instructor and an AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) certified Group Fitness Instructor.  My interests include being healthy and fit and helping others find their way to health and fitness.
