Green Beans with Almonds

Green Beans

A simple recipe.  Goes great with Ground Beef & Maitake Mushroom.  This recipe is a big vague on quantities, because they don’t need to be exact.

 

Ingredients:

Green Beans

Sliced almonds

Ghee

Lemon juice

Salt and pepper

Directions:

  • Trim ends from green beans and cut into bite size pieces.  I like to steam my veggies, but you can boil or cook in the microwave if you want.  If steaming, heat water to boiling in a pan and place steamer in pan.  Place green beans in steamer and cook for several minutes.  I like my beans slightly crunchy, which is about 5 minutes.  If you have a lot of beans, stir occasionally.  Remove beans to serving dish

  • Melt ghee is small pan over very low heat and add some sliced almonds.  Cook, stirring, until almonds have lightly browned.  Add almonds to cooked beans.

  • Spritz with lemon juice.  Add salt and pepper to taste.
